Bridging the Equity Gap: The Licensure Equity Achievement Program (LEAP)
We are excited to share the details of our new program, The Licensure Equity Achievement Program (LEAP), which will launch in April. LEAP's core mission is to ensure equal access to licensure opportunities by eliminating barriers hindering diverse individuals from becoming licensed behavioral health professionals.
LEAP is committed to providing comprehensive support to address the economic, educational, and social factors contributing to these disparities. The support includes:
funding to access essential testing resources
one-on-one coaching for personalized guidance, and
facilitated peer support groups for community and encouragement
LEAP is open to master’s-prepared and/or post-doctoral community health center (CHC) employees who are culturally or linguistically diverse, as well as those aged 32+. These criteria are grounded in the data presented in the 2018-2021 Association of Social Worker Board’s Exam Pass Rate Analysis report.
Interested applicants should contact leap@massleague.org. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.
